O Holy Night
Luke 2:8-11 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Words: Placide Clappeau, 1847; translated from French to English by John Sullivan Dwight (1812-1893).
Music: Adolphe C. Adam (1803-1856)

O Holy Night
http://preciouslordtakemyhand.com/publish/christianhymns/o-holy-night/

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here came the wise men from Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger,
In all our trials born to be our friend!

Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!

Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Silent Night
http://preciouslordtakemyhand.com/publish/christianhymns/silent-night/

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth "

THE ANGEL GABRIEL APPEAR TO MARY
Many years ago The angel Gabriel was sent from God to visit a young girl whose name was Mary and the angel said to her "Hail thou that art highly favoured the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among women"
Mary didnt understand these words and wondered what the angel meant and the angel said to her Don't be afraid Mary God have chosen you to give birth to a son and you shall call his name Jesus
He shall be great and shall be called the Son of God

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Lu 1:28

Mary was very trouble from what the angel had said to her and wondered what this greeting might mean. The Angel said to her " Don't be afraid, God has shown you his grace, Listen you wil become pregnant and give birth to a son, he will be great and will be called the son of the most high. He will rule over the people and his kingdom will never end.

Mary said to the angel "How will this happen since i am a virgin? The angel replied to mary " The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will come over you. For this reason the baby will be holy and will be called the son of God. Now Elizebeth your relative is also pregnant with a son although she is very old. Everyone thought she couldn't have a baby but she has been pregnant for six months..God can do anything!

Mary Said i am the servent of the Lord let this happen to me as you say! then the angel went away.

The power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

Mary got up and went quickly to a town in the hills of Judea. She came to Zechariah's house and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the unborn baby inside her jumped and Elizabeth was filled with the holy spirit. She cried out in a loud voice " God has blessed you more than any other woman and he has blessed the baby to whom you will give birth. Why has this good thing happened to me that the mother of my Lord comes to me? When i heard your voice the baby inside me jumped with joy, You are blessed because you believed that what the Lord said to you would really happen."

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: Luke 1:41

Mary's Song
46And Mary said:
"My soul glorifies the Lord
47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
50His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
51He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
53He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful
55to Abraham and his descendants forever,
even as he said to our fathers."

"He has brought down rulers from {their} thrones, And has exalted those who were humble. Lu 1:52

MARY DID YOU KNOW

http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=15f7f3fad1d62699ec0d

Alternative to watching video

http://www.kodachrome.org/marydid/

Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Would one day walk on water?
Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know, that your baby boy
Has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered,
Will soon deliver you!

Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Will give sight to the blind man?
Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Would calm a storm with His hand?

Did you know, that your baby boy
Has walked where angels trod
And when you kiss your little baby,
You've kissed the face of God?
Oh, Mary did you know?
Mary did you know?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear,
The dead will live again,
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak
Praises of the Lamb?

Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Will one day rule the nations?

Did you know, that your baby boy
Was Heaven's perfect Lamb?
And this sleeping Child you're holding
Is the Great I AM

at first when she told me her special news that an Angel told her she was chosen to have this baby Jesus and he was going to SAVE THE WORLD wow isnt that amazing,......but an angel spoke to me in a dream, this was so awesome NOT SOME ORDINARY DREAM
.......well that wasn't the end of it,...The Angel spoke to me I almost fainted I was going to bow down to the angel but the angel told me to get up.
Believe me Mary I am telling the truth. No other man would believe this but believe you, I do, and I promise you I will support you in this Mary don't worry.
The Angel told me I was to marry you even though you was having a baby and it wasn't mine, But God had chosen you to carry Jesus.

Little Donkey
Eric Boswell

http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/tweenies/songtime/songs/l/littledonkey.shtml

Little donkey, little donkey,
On the dusty road.
Got to keep on plodding onwards,
With your precious load.

Been a long time, little donkey,
Through the winter’s night.
Don’t give up now, little donkey,
Bethlehem’s in sight

Ring out those bells tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem.
Follow that star tonight,
Bethlehem, Bethlehem.

Little donkey, little donkey,
Had a heavy day.
Little donkey, carry Mary safely on her way.

Little donkey, little donkey,
On the dusty road.
There are wise men waiting for a
Sign to bring them here.

Do not falter, little donkey,
There’s a star ahead.
It will guide you, little donkey,
To a cattle shed.

While Shepherds Watched

http://preciouslordtakemyhand.com/publish/christianhymns/while-shepherds-watched-their-flocks/

While shepherds watched
Their flocks by night
All seated on the ground
The angel of the Lord came down
And glory shone around
And glory shone around

"Fear not," he said,
For mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind,
To you and all mankind."

"To you in David's
Town this day
Is born of David's line
The Savior who is Christ the Lord
And this shall be the sign
And this shall be the sign."

"The heavenly Babe
You there shall find
To human view displayed
And meanly wrapped
In swathing bands
And in a manger laid
And in a manger laid."

Thus spake the seraph,
And forthwith
Appeared a shining throng
Of angels praising God, who thus
Addressed their joyful song
Addressed their joyful song

"All glory be to
God on high
And to the earth be peace;
Goodwill henceforth
From heaven to men
Begin and never cease
Begin and never cease!"

Shepherds! Shake off your drowsy sleep.

http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/s/s/ssoydslp.htm

Shepherds! Shake off your drowsy sleep,
Rise and leave your silly sheep;
Angels from Heav’n around loud singing,
Tidings of great joy are bringing,

Refrain

Shepherds! The chorus come and swell!
Sing Nowell, O sing Nowell!

Hark! Even now the bells ring ’round;
Listen to their merry sound!
Hark! How the birds new songs are making,
As if winter’s chains were breaking,

Refrain

Cometh at length the age of peace,
Strife and sorrow now shall cease;
Prophets foretold the wondrous story
Of this Heaven-born Prince of glory,

Refrain

Shepherds! Then up and quick away!
Seek the Babe ere break of day;
He is the hope of every nation,
All in Him shall find salvation,

Refrain

Online Nativity Archives from MSN Jesus-lamb

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head

The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing
The poor Baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes

I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side,
'Til morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray

Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there

This is how you will know him you will find a baby wrapped in pieces of cloth and lying in a manger. Then a very large group of angels from heaven joined the first angel, praising God and saying " Give Glory to God in heaven and on earth let there be peace among the people who please God.

When the angels left and went back to heaven the shepherds said to eachother Lets go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told us about!

So the Shepherds went quickly and found mary and Joseph and the baby who was lying in the manger, when they had seen him they told what the angels had said about this child. Everyone was amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured these things and continued to think about them.

Then the Shepherds went back to their sheep praising God and thanking him for everything they had seen and heard. It had been just as the angel had told them.

While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy

Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns, infest, the ground;

Far as the curse is found

Online Nativity Archives from MSN Wisemen_follow_the_star_122002936

There were three wise men called 'magi'
One night the wise men noticed a very bright star
shining in the East.
The star was a sign to them that a king had
been born.
So the wise men set out on a journey to follow the star
and find the newborn king.

We Three Kings

http://www.carols.org.uk/we_three_kings_of_orient_are.htm

We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star

refrain
O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy Perfect Light

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to rein

refrain

Frankincense to offer have I
Incense owns a Deity nigh
Pray'r and praising, all men raising
Worship Him, God most high

refrain

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume
Breathes of life of gathering gloom
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb

refrain

Glorious now behold Him arise
King and God and Sacrifice
Alleluia, Alleluia
Earth to heav'n replies

O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to Thy perfect light

~ ~ ~
The star led the three wisemen to a stable in Bethlehem

When the wisemen arrived, they found Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus
and the Glory of The Lord shone all around them

The three wisemen went into the stable.
There they saw the child and His mother, and they
knelt down and worshipped him.
They brought gifts of Gold. Frankincense and Myrrh.

Online Nativity Archives from MSN Nativity_1

Then they returned to their country by another road, as God had warned them in a dream not to go to Herod.

THE FIRST NOEL

www.carols.org.uk/the_first_noel.htm

The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

And by the light of that same star
Three Wise men came from country far
To seek for a King was their intent
And to follow the star wherever it went.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

This star drew nigh to the northwest
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest
And there it did both Pause and stay
Right o'er the place where Jesus lay.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Then entered in those Wise men three
Full reverently upon their knee
And offered there in His presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with his blood mankind has bought.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

O HOLY NIGHT

http://www.carols.org.uk/ba32-o-holy-night.htm

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim![/center]

Online Nativity Archives from MSN Th_SilentNightHolyNightbyStormyAmbi

And so on that silent and most HOLY NIGHT, the Son of Man was born.
We shall leave the scene as Mary cradles her precious Son and the Glory of the Lord shines all around.

On this night two thousand years ago Our Saviour Jesus Christ was born in a humble, lowly manger, in a stable, in Bethlehem.

John1:3-5
'In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it'.
